“English for Ministry” is a special program which was created to teach the English language to pastors, missionaries and other church workers who are interested in expanding their global reach.
It is no secret that English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Companies and businesses all over the globe have invested time and resources to ensuring that their employees learn the English language, because they recognise its global importance in building relationships, expanding their reach and establishing a presence in many countries. Specialised courses such as “Business English” have been created to cater to the needs of the corporate world, but the question that led to the development of this program was “What about the church?”.
There is no organisation or institution more in need of reaching every corner of the world than the church. That is our God-given mandate. And language is one of the barriers that we must cross to achieve that. Our program is tailored to include the unique vocabulary, expressions and lingo used commonly in the church world, which is a step further than everyday English.
